If manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous then Gods charge to Joshua in chapter 1:1-9 also applies to us!
God told Joshua where he places his foot God would give him that place. He gave Joshua a description of the territory he would posses, from east to west and north to south. God said no one would be able to stand against Joshua and He would always be with him. God said "be strong and courageous and lead the people". He told Joshua to obey and to keep His law on his lips. Verse 9 sums it all up,
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go". Then Verse 10 says, "So Joshua ordered......
Well men! What are we going to do with what we know now? Will we take the places God has prepared for us? Will we be Fearless and Courageous? Will we obey and follow God? Or will we be counted with the rough necked rebels who died in the wilderness never reaching the promised land of Canna?
