LEADERSHIP TEAM

We believe that salvation comes by confession of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, to believe in the heart that Jesus died and rose from the dead, and to proclaim with the mouth that He is Lord. We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the infallible Word of God; inerrant as originally given, verbally inspired by God, the complete and sufficient revelation of His will for salvation and conduct. We believe in the Great Commission; to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth. 

Bro. Gregg Armstrong

Music & Recreation Minister

Gregg has been on staff since 1988 and has served various roles through his ministry. Currently as music minister he oversees the worship/music ministry team by developing and administrating a Spirit-led worship each Sunday. Gregg also serves as Blount county Revenue Commissioner. He is married to Angie and they have two children a daughter, Hannah and a son, Charlie. When Gregg is not busy serving our community you can listen to him commentating local sports events!

Randy Lamon

Admin & Discipleship Minister

Randy has been in ministry since 1987 and joined the LFBC staff in May of 2023. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His wife, Pam, is a Speech/Language Pathologist with Blount County Schools and they have two grown children who reside in the metro Birmingham area. Randy's passion in ministry is discipleship and seeing people connect to God's Word and each other through the small groups ministry of the church. 

Brandon Cook

Student & Young Families Minister

Brandon joined our staff as the Student and Young Families Minister in 2024. He brings with him over a decade of ministry experience. Brandon is originally from Montgomery, but has spent time in New Orleans, Tuscaloosa and for the last five years in Gadsden, Alabama.
Brandon and Amanda married in 2018 and they now have two wonderful children, Everleigh & Everett. He is a huge college sports fan (Roll Tide!) and loves riding every roller coaster he can fit in.

Adam West

Children's Minister

Adam is our Kid’s Minister. He graduated high school from Locust Fork and received his college degree from the University of Alabama. His focus and goal is to help these kids grow and have a firm foundation in Christ. Adam enjoys serving in the church, watching sports, spending time with family and friends. 

Mart Gray

Senior Adult Minister

Mart first came to LFBC in 1983 as minister of music and youth and, along with his wife Mary, now serves our older adults. Together they semi-retired and came home to Locust Fork over a decade ago to focus on their aging parents. They have two sons, Will and John, and a granddaughter, Lily. Mary enjoys baking, beekeeping, and flower gardening. Mart is a hobbyist photographer, enjoys writing, and travel. “I cannot tell you how grateful we are to serve alongside these mature children of God as we all seek to be faithful and find purpose in our later years!"

Jessica McCarty

Church Secretary & Preschool Director

Jessica McCarty joined the staff at LFBC in 2023. She serves as secretary in the church office and became the Preschool Director in August of 2024. Jessica is dedicated to fostering a safe, fun environment for young children to come to know and love Jesus. “Of all the things we can provide for our children, a strong faith is the most important!” She enjoys music, singing, the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends. 

Karey Duckworth

Director of Weekday Education

­­Karey has worked in childcare for over twenty-five years. She has a heart for families and children. She loves spending time with her husband Michael and son Kaleb. She enjoys photography, going to the beach and fun adventures with her family.

Caroline Collins

Office Manager

Caroline Collins joined the staff at Locust Fork Baptist in 2021. As Office Manager, Caroline manages the office staff, coordinates and schedules the church calendar, and oversees housekeeping and maintenance. Caroline also serves as the Women's Ministry Director and feels that God has led her to this role to help women build meaningful, God-honoring friendships in adulthood. She is very thankful for her LFBC church family, saying, “I enjoy the fellowship and family atmosphere that Locust Fork Baptist provides. It has always felt like home to me, and the warmth and friendliness of our church family is something truly special.” Caroline is married to Jared Collins and is the mother of two children, Calleigh and Clark. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family—whether they’re camping, enjoying the lake, or taking care of the animals on their farm.

Hillery Glover

Outreach & Media Director

Hillery is our Media/Outreach Director and Ministry Assistant.  She is a native of Locust Fork and started attending LFBC her junior year in high school. Hillery loves encouraging others and investing her time in our church body and community. She has previously served as our Children’s Director and Youth Assistant from 2003-2006 and Interim Student Director from 2018-2021. She married her high school sweet heart Chad Glover in 2006. You can always find her and her husband at our local schools helping encourage students and parents. A few of Hillery’s favorite hobbies are singing, reading, crocheting and photography!
